The exhibit features costumes from more than 22 programs, 13 of which are Emmy-nominated in all three different award genres: period, contemporary, and fantasy/sci-fi. The series will run until November 5.

Costumes on display include the iconic red swimsuit from Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy,” regal dresses from “Bridgerton” and outfits worn by Jean Smart in “Hacks.”

Nick Verreos, FIDM Chair of Styling, highlighted some of his favorite outfits. Verreos tells Variety“Of course, all the costumes are highlights, but the Emmy nominees are the real stars of the show.”

“These costumes from ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ are from season four, when the show shifts to the 1960s. Although it’s still a very 50s silhouette overall, you’ll see elements of the 60s begin to seep in, like the big beanie that Midge’s mother wears.

“Another favorite of mine is ‘The Great.’ Of course, it’s about Catherine the Great, the Russian monarch. It’s all about the opulence. it’s all about puffy boobs and sexy boys!We have this gorgeous coronation dress featured, which is inspired by Russian folk dress but, again, they wanted to make it a bit sexier, so they exposed her shoulders It’s very opulent and golden. It’s time for Catherine’s parade.

“I love some contemporary costumes, like ‘Hacks’. Actress Jean Smart wears a printed outfit from the Casablanca brand, and she almost didn’t make the show. Why? Since the brand name is featured prominently on the top of the tunic, they first had to obtain it through legal process. The costume designer said she tried and tried and tried to contact the brand – eventually they got it, just 2 days before filming the episode.

“Knight of the Moon”

Suits “Moon Knight” by Meghan Kasperlik.

“Last but not least – in terms of the fantasy/sci-fi nominee – ‘Moon Knight’. We have the Mr. Knight costume, which is a white costume made of upholstery and lamé. The exhibit also features Moon Knight’s real costume, inspired by an Egyptian god, and has 803 pattern pieces, it was made in London but then had to be shipped to Budapest, Hungary, where they filmed the show.
