Manchester United are exploring the possibility of loaning Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.
United are considering a number of attacking options with two weeks to go, and Pulisic has emerged as a player of interest.
The US captain, who was signed for £57.6million from Borussia Dortmund in January 2019, has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea and is keen to get more minutes ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
The 23-year-old has been used on the bench in Chelsea’s two Premier League games since the start of the new campaign and started just 13 Premier League appearances last term.
Chelsea are also pursuing a transfer for Everton winger Anthony Gordonwhich would probably further reduce his playing time.
United have made an initial approach for PSV striker Cody Gakpo but any decision on him will likely have to wait until the Dutch club’s Champions League qualification with Rangers is complete next Wednesday.
Man Utd will continue pursuit of Antony
Sky Sports News Manchester United have been rumored to return for Ajax striker Antony – and it’s believed an offer will be made to the Dutch club this week.
United tried to sign the 22-year-old earlier in the window, but there was a big gap between what they were willing to pay and what Ajax wanted. Ajax’s valuation was thought to be €80m at the start of the window.
Signing a striker has been a priority for Erik ten Hag all summer and Antony was a regular for the Man United boss at Ajax for the past two seasons.
Somme goalkeeper target for Man Utd
United are also interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The club are looking for a goalkeeper to compete with first-choice David de Gea, who made two glaring errors leading to goals in the 4-0 loss at Brentford, and reserve option Tom Heaton.
There is a feeling, however, that Sommer, who has a contract until 2025, would like to be a No.1 amid reported interest from two other Premier League clubs.
The 33-year-old, who has 74 international caps for Switzerland, was part of the team that reached the quarter-finals of the Euros last summer, beating France in the round of 16.
Man Utd eyes Caicedo, Casemiro | Rabiot agreement unlikely
Manchester United are interested in signing Brighton defensive midfielder Moises Caicedo – but a deal for Adrien Rabiot from Juventus is now increasingly unlikely.
Real Madrid’s Casemiro is another name that has been discussed but there hasn’t been a formal offer at this stage. A source has told Sky Sports News that United have held talks with Real.
The club have been unable to meet Rabiot’s wage demands after a broad agreement was reached with Juventus on a £15m fee.
With just over two weeks to go before the transfer window, United are considering other midfield options – and Caicedo are in their sights.
Brighton have no intention of selling but United are expected to make an offer. The 20-year-old Ecuador international impressed in Brighton’s 2-1 opening weekend win at Old Trafford as Graham Potter’s side beat new United boss Erik ten Hag in a his first game in charge.
Caicedo only made his Premier League debut for Brighton at Arsenal in April but became a Potter first-team regular after starting his last 10 league games and making 12 appearances in all competitions for the club .
United are long-time admirers of Caicedo – they were considering signing him when he joined Brighton from Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle in February 2021.
