Marvel hero Simu Liu shakes things up by playing an evil AI soldier in Netflix Atlas.
Here he will be the scourge of Jennifer Lopez, whose character spends the film fighting to protect humanity from her rogue robot.
In order to surpass him, she has to work with another AI, and for some as yet unknown reason, it’s something she fears the most (via Deadline).

Atlas also owns Sterling K Brown (It’s us) and Abraham Popola (Morbius) in the cast, with Brad Peyton (Carnage) on management tasks.
Lopez, colloquially known as J.Lo, was last seen on the big screen opposite Owen Wilson in the romantic comedy Marry mewhich itself caused quite a stir among critics.
As superpowered martial artist Shang-Chi last year, Liu’s resume is more than a little enviable these days – he’s set to star in Margot Robbie’s Barbie and thriller by Sam Worthington Hello Stranger.

But everything could have been so different if Marvel Studios had understood its “exaggerations” on combat skills.
“When I got the part, they asked me about my background and martial arts experience, which of course I overstated because I really wanted the job. I had done work as a than a stuntman, but if we’re honest, I think I was more of a dancer than I was ever a martial artist.
“Roughly from the time I was cast, I started working with coaches and learning how to move. I had such horrible flexibility…A lot of that initial process was just bending my body and trying to tear those legs apart.” he called back.
