Real Madrid ‘tell Manchester United a £60million offer would change Casemiro’s mind’ as Spanish team name price for Brazilian star Erik ten Hag desperate to sign a top midfielder
- Real Madrid have set their asking price at £60m for midfielder Casemiro
- Manchester United are keen to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford this summer
- United are ready to offer the 30-year-old a five-year deal as a move
- Casemiro won every title at his disposal during his nine-year spell in Spain
Real Madrid have named their £60million asking price for five-time Champions League winner Casemiro amid interest from Manchester United.
With a new day seeing the desperate English club linked with a host of players as the transfer clock ticks, United are now interested in bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.
The Champions League holders have previously declared their intention not to bring any new signings to the club but could see one of their most successful players of all time leave as the La Liga giants have set their asking price for Casemiro, as reported by Football Espana.

United boss Erik ten Hag has been trying to lure a La Liga midfielder to Manchester all summer in the form of Frenkie de Jong, but the Premier League outfit could focus on Madrid instead.
Casemiro has three years left on his current deal at the Bernabeu but is being offered the chance to earn a huge salary at the age of 30, with United ready to offer the Brazilian a five-year contract.

The South American star could double his salary by moving to England, with United reportedly willing to do a deal worth £9m a season, and would follow in the footsteps of Raphael Varane who made the same move the last year.
Madrid, although reluctant to sell one of their prized assets, won’t stop Casemiro from leaving the club given his excellent relationship with club bosses after almost 10 years in the Spanish capital.
The problem for United, however, is their ability to attract a serial winner such as Casemiro to the Premier League, with the defensive midfielder winning every available title during his time in Spain so far.
A quick look at the two teams shows the quality Casemiro would have to part with if he joined Ten Hag’s side, with him swapping to play alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, to join a midfield alongside by Scott McTominay and Fred.
United’s current estimate is £10m lower than Madrid’s asking price, but with the transfer window closing and the Reds plummeting in the league, a compromise may well have to be made.

Casemiro joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Sao Paulo in 2013 and during his trophy-laden spell at the club he won La Liga three times, the Champions League five times, the Club World Cup Fifa three times and the Spanish Cup once.
During the same period, United have won the Premier League once, the Europa League, the League Cup and the FA Cup, with the club last winning silver in 2017.
