Riverdale’s Charles Melton Added to Poker Face Mystery Series

Riverdaleis Charles Melton and watchmen star Tim Blake Nelson are the latest names to be on board Poker facea new mystery series from Rian Johnson.

This tantalizing 10 episode was commissioned by Peacock in March 2021, attracting some serious talent in the form of Natasha Lyonne (Russian doll), Adrian Brody (The pianist), Jameela Jamil (She-Hulk: Lawyer), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Creation), Chloé Sévigny (american horror story) and Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory).

Thanks to Varietyit was also revealed that Ron Perlman (alley of nightmares) and Nick Nolte (The Mandalorian) have now joined the set.

Although there was no official announcement, it was reported that Poker face uses a procedural format and Lyonne’s character solves a new murder in each episode.

Judging by his previous work in the genre, Knives out director Johnson just might mix in a few laughs amid the blood and police tape.

Speaking of which, to come Knives out after Glass Onion is ready to please fans of the original – according to Jessica Henwick.

“Daniel [Craig] was back and Benoit has his style and flair that is very specific to this movie series, and yes, it’s going to hit all the same fun beats. It’s such a ride.

“The script was a brick. When it came, it’s like…I don’t even remember it, it’s very, very long. So I was turning the pages trying to figure it out,” recalls- she.

“But I know Rian was so smart, I knew there was no way I would understand him until he wanted to.”
