Looks like game of thrones fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on George RR Martin’s The Winds of Winter.
On his website, the author explained that he was (still) working on the sixth book of A song of ice and fire, the series that inspired the HBO show. However, he seems to be getting closer to the finish line with this one.
“I hope to wrap up the story of one of the WINDS OF WINTER point-of-view characters this week. Maybe even two,” Martin wrote on Aug. 12.

“[Showrunners Ryan J Condal and Miguel Sapochnik] and their amazing cast and crew did a magnificent job.
“[House of the Dragon] is everything I hoped it would be; dark, powerful, visceral, disturbing, breathtaking to watch, populated by complex and very human characters played by truly incredible actors.”
