Valve is testing a new Steam mobile app

The Steam mobile app isn’t bad at all, but it’s not particularly good either. It’s kind of just there: you can browse the store with it, buy and install games remotely, chat with your Steam friends, and perform most of the other main functions of the desktop Steam client. But there’s nothing in there that really excites me. If it weren’t for the fact that I need it for Steam Guard, I probably wouldn’t bother installing it at all.

I honestly can’t say how Valve could better make their mobile app more engaging, but I can’t wait to see what they have in mind. And hopefully I’ll find out very soon, because a new Steam mobile app (opens in a new tab) is now launched in beta for Android and iOS devices.
